Canada - Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

After leavings Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge, we had a quick stop at Fort Beausejour.

We did a little unexpected wildlife spotting on our journey...

Then we continued on to The Captain's Inn in Alma.  This is a lovely B&B, in the village of Alma just outside Fundy National Park, with spacious clean rooms.  There's a great bakery and restaurant over the road from the inn.

From here we spent two days exploring Fundy National Park.  Unfortunately, it pretty much rained for our entire stay here, the result is some rather gloomy looking photos.  It also meant that we didn't do as much hiking as we'd hoped to.  The rain was so heavy I ended up having to buy a new waterproof jacket as my old one couldn't withstand the down pours.

Hopewell Rocks is a spectacular sight to witness the highest tides in the world, though to fully appreciate it I'd advise you to visit twice, as we did.  Once at high tide and once at low, as shown in the photos below.  There are steps so that at low tide you can go down and walk around among the rock formations.
