Our hotel in Yarmouth was about one hour drive from the port in Digby.
We spent the night here intending to have a quick look around the lighthouse in the morning and then get underway to Halifax. However heavy fog meant that our scenic route was likely to look more white than beautiful, so we delayed our start time while we waited for the fog to lift.
Of course the problem was that this meant we had less time to stop on route to make the most of the beautiful coastal towns on the lighthouse route.
